Robert H. Wood Great Artists Series Presents a Free Performance by the Turtle Island Quartet

The Robert H. Wood Great Artists Series will present the Turtle Island Quartet on Friday, March 31 at 7 p.m. in Herkimer College’s Sarkus-Busch Theater. The performance is open to the public free of charge. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The program, entitled “Birth of Cool,” will feature the Quartet’s signature groove-based rhythm techniques in transforming classic selections. The two time Grammy winning Turtle Island Quartet will also feature original compositions that share the cross genre jazz music style.

The Robert H. Wood Great Artists Series is a result of a generous endowment made to the Herkimer County College Foundation by the late Robert H. Wood, a long-time resident of Ilion, NY.
