Herkimer College Human Services Club to Collect Gently Used Winter Necessities for Children

The Human Services club at Herkimer College is collecting gently used winter necessities to be donated to children in need within Herkimer County.

According to Instructor Grace Ashline who serves as club advisor, the students identified a growing need in the community for children to be provided with winter necessities. “Many either go without or are not sufficiently dressed as they walk through cold and bitter winter weather. Gently used winter jackets, snow pants, boots, hats, mittens, scarves and gloves are greatly appreciated.” said Ashline.

The collection will take place through Wednesday, December 5, 2018. Items can be placed in donation boxes located in the Public Relations Office in the Robert McLaughlin College Center, Humanities and Social Sciences offices in the Classroom Administration building, or the Dean of Students Office in the Classroom Administration building.
