Herkimer College Ranks Among Best Online Associate Degree Programs in Legal Studies

Herkimer County Community College is ranked third by TheBestSchools.org on their 2018 list of best online associate degree programs in Legal Studies.

TheBestSchools.org ranked all accredited online associate degree programs in Legal Studies in the U.S. to select the top programs in the nation. Rankings are based on a methodology that considered quality of program and range of courses provided, as well as school awards, rankings and reputation.

Herkimer College offers the convenience and flexibility of a fully online program, as well as online support services. The 62-credit program includes courses in torts and personal injury, estate administration, family law, real estate law, and legal research and writing, as well as general education requirements. Students gain experience in drafting legal documents, interviewing clients, and conducting in-depth legal research.

Legal Studies graduates find employment in law offices, administrative agencies, boards and commissions on the local, state and federal levels, district attorney offices, offices within the state and federal court systems, as well as abstract and title companies, bank trust departments, insurance companies and corporate legal departments. Although not designed as a transfer program, Herkimer College has established transfer articulation agreements with several four-year colleges and universities.
