Herkimer Baseball Secures #4 Seed in 2019 NJCAA Division III World Series

The Herkimer Generals baseball team has earned the #4 seed in the NJCAA Division III World Series that will take place from May 25th-May 30th at Pioneer Park in Greeneville, Tennessee. They will take on the defending national champions and 5th seeded Oakton Community College Owls at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.

The Generals will enter the World Series with a record of 35-4-2 on the year and the #2 ranking in the final NJCAA Division III national poll. This will be Coach Jason Rathbun’s seventh appearance in the Division III World Series since he took over the program in 2005. The Generals are coming off a Region III championship run, which required them to win four elimination games in two days to advance to the World Series, culminating in a 10-2 championship win over Finger Lakes CC on Sunday night.
