Herkimer College Welcomes Students for the Fall 2025 Semester
Herkimer College has begun the Fall 2025 semester with strong enrollment growth and an energized campus community. Students moved into College housing on Saturday, August 30, with classes officially beginning on Tuesday, September 2.

Men’s Basketball Season OpeningThe Herkimer Men’s Basketball team will open their 2014-15 season at home this weekend with their annual “Philly Classic.” Donations will be accepted at the door to help offset costs of medical treatment incurred by Philly Aiello, a Generals basketball fan who attends the Upstate Cerebral Palsy adult day treatment center in Barneveld.

Herkimer County Arts and Crafts Fair to Feature Over 100 Quality CraftersThe 38th Herkimer County Arts and Crafts Fair will take place Saturday and Sunday, November 8 and 9 at Herkimer College. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The fair is known for featuring creative vendors who offer high-quality, fine art and unique products. This year’s vendors will offer photography, jewelry, clothing, specialty foods and more. -
Alcohol Awareness WeekIn observation of National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week, Herkimer College students participated in a Mocktail Event. The purpose of the event was to promote awareness and prevention of alcohol abuse and impaired driving. Sixteen student clubs set up booths with prevention messages and created mocktails. Stop DWI was on hand with beer goggles and a simulated driving course. Students wore the beer goggles while navigating the course and taking a sobriety test. Domestic Violence of Catholic Charities also was present to help students understand how alcohol and violence are related. The Physical Therapist Club won the best tasting mocktail.
