Herkimer County Community College is expanding its academic offerings with the launch of a new Artificial Intelligence – Business degree program, designed to prepare students for success in one of today’s fastest-growing and most in-demand fields.

Student-athletes read to elementary studentsThe Herkimer College Athletic Department continued their year-round commitment to the community by reading to Herkimer elementary students recently. Several student-athletes and staff visited three separate classes from kindergarten to fifth grade to encourage students to read in the classroom and at home. Led by Principal Kathleen Carney and student-athletes Renee Hamilton (Herkimer), Emilie Coufal (North Syracuse) and Alexis Caughey (Cortland), more than 10 classes were read to.

Herkimer Generals Men’s Basketball Team to Compete in NJCAA DIII National Championship TournamentThe Herkimer Generals men’s basketball team will travel to Sullivan County Community College this week for the NJCAA Division III National Championship Tournament. The tournament consists of eight teams from six different states. Quarterfinals begin on Thursday, March 13. The Herkimer Generals will face Caldwell Tech Cobras (NC) on Thursday at 2 p.m. The national championship game will be played Saturday, March 15 at 7 p.m.

Transfer Agreement with University at AlbanyHerkimer College recently entered into a transfer articulation agreement with the University of Albany for graduates of Herkimer’s Liberal Arts & Sciences: Mathematics program. The maximum number of transfer credits will be applied to the Mathematics degree program at the University at Albany.
