Herkimer College Appoints Assistant Professor

Herkimer College announces the appointment of Christina M. Bobesky of Camillus, NY to the position of assistant professor for Human Services. Bobesky will be responsible for teaching introductory courses in social services and case management and will teach and supervise practicum students.  

Bobesky was previously employed as an adjunct instructor at the State University of New York at Oswego where she taught courses in the departments of Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS) as well as the department of Psychology.

Bobesky has a Bachelor of Arts from LeMoyne College, a Master of Science from the State University of New York at Oswego and is currently completing her doctorate at Syracuse University.

Bobesky is a member of The National Council on Family Relations, is the secretary of Syracuse Council of Family Relations and is the Assistant Director of ODESA Dance Ensemble.

The Human Services program at Herkimer College is designed to prepare students for a career in a variety of human service agencies. Students may, for example, find employment as case managers, social work assistants, family advocates, residential counselors or classroom assistants. Students may work with a variety of populations, such as the physically or developmentally disabled, elderly, youth at risk or individuals in crisis.
