Health and Wellness Classes Offered at Herkimer College

Herkimer College will be offering the following non-credit health and fitness classes.

Interval Training is an easy to follow kickboxing and step aerobics interval workout. Section B will meet for six weeks on Monday evenings from 6 to 7 pm beginning October 26. The fee is $36.

Chisel is a basic strength training class focusing on the core, as well as upper and lower body. Section B will meet for six weeks on Wednesday evenings from 6 to 7 pm beginning October 28. The fee is $36.

Yoga for All offers an introduction to pranayama (breathing technique), asanas (postures and poses) and savasana (meditative relaxation). Section B will meet for six weeks on Tuesday evenings from 6:15 to 7:30 pm beginning October 27. The fee is $54.

Pilates will strengthen and tone muscles and provide flexibility and balance. Section C will meet for six weeks on Thursdays from 12:30 to 1:15 pm beginning October 29. The fee is $39; section D will meet for five weeks on Mondays from 12:30 to 1:15 pm beginning November 2. The fee is $33.

Hoop Dance is a cardiovascular exercise class that uses weighted hula hoops. Section B will meet for six weeks on Wednesday evenings from 4 to 5 pm beginning October 28. The fee is $36.
