Dolgeville Elementary visits Herkimer College

Four second grade classrooms from Dolgeville Elementary School visited Herkimer College on Wednesday, October 28, in an effort to expose students, at an early age, to a college campus and to provide them with an opportunity to interact with students, faculty and staff.

The visit included tours of the fashion merchandising and travel classrooms, WVHC radio studio, and physical therapy laboratory. The day ended with games in the Recreation Gym, coordinated by Assistant Professor Michelle List and students from the Early Childhood Education program.

“Our students had a great time and a very enriching experience,” said Danielle McCormack, a second grade teacher at Dolgeville. “I had a lot of students tell me they couldn’t wait to go to college when they are older!”
