Herkimer College Named Among Most Affordable Online Colleges in the U.S

Herkimer College was recently ranked among the most affordable accredited online colleges in the nation for three associate degree programs by OnlineU.

Herkimer College ranked 8th for Medical Billing and Coding, 16th for Accounting, and 17th for Criminal Justice. The rankings are based on annual out-of-state tuition rates for 2015-2016 across the most popular online degree subjects. Twenty associate degrees and three certificate programs are offered fully online through Herkimer College’s Internet Academy with a full array of support services provided to students.

The Medical Coding – Transcriptionist certificate at Herkimer College offers training in ICD-9, HCPCS, and CTM coding, as well as practice in transcription of medical tapes. Graduates of this program will be prepared for employment in healthcare and insurance offices, and some employment opportunities may be home-based.

Online degrees in Accounting are designed for students to enter the workforce or continue their education following graduation. Classes include Business Organization and Management, Business Law, Intro to Marketing, Macroeconomics and Corporate Finance.

Herkimer offers online A.S. and A.A.S. degree programs in Criminal Justice, as well as an A.S. in Cybersecurity, and an A.A.S. in Criminal Investigations and Analysis. All of the Criminal Justice programs are available both on-campus and online.
