Generals Open Golf Tournament

The Herkimer County College Foundation’s 25th annual Generals Open Golf Tournament was held Monday, June 12, 2017 at Stonebridge Golf & Country Club in New Hartford.

Tournament sponsors included American Food & Vending, Beebe Construction Services, Carbone Auto Group, D’Arcangelo & Co., Day & Read Insurance, First Source Federal Credit Union, Haylor, Freyer & Coon Insurance, M & T Bank, Pepsi, and Roemer, Wallens, Gold & Mineaux.

Tournament winners were Day & Read Insurance with a score of 58. Second place went to IBEW #43 with a score of 59, and Kids Oneida placed third with a score of 62. Skins were awarded to Annese & Associates, IBEW #43 and Arc Herkimer.

Men’s closest to the pin went to Mike Fay playing for Annese and Associates, and men’s closest to the line went to Adam Meyers playing for Roemer, Wallens, Gold & Mineaus LLP.

Men’s longest drive went to Matt Lee of the Herkimer College Athletics team and women’s longest drive was awarded to Mary Henry playing for Northland Communications.

Proceeds of this tournament benefit the work of the Herkimer County College Foundation, including student scholarships at Herkimer College. Established in 1967 as a not-for-profit corporation, the Herkimer County College Foundation, Inc. helps the College secure resources to continually enhance the quality of offerings and provide life-changing opportunities for students.
