Countdown to Commencement '23, Sara Warner

It’s Countdown to Commencement 2023! We have a graduating class full of remarkable students who have made the most of their academic journey at Herkimer College and have positively impacted our whole campus community, like Sara Warner.

Warner, a Communication and Media A.S. major who hails from Herkimer, sums up her experience as a General as “personable, affordable, and a solid foundation for future endeavors.”

“One benefit of attending Herkimer was the small class sizes. Teachers can help you one on one rather than just being a name on the roster sheet. I learned much more by talking to my professors directly and sharing ideas on what I can improve on and how to do it. Going to a community college with smaller classes and lower tuition rates is definitely a plus.”

“My favorite memory would probably be having Professor (Bob) Gassmann for what seemed like half of my classes,” she adds.

Warner also worked as a member of the College’s Public Relations Street Team, where she contributed to blog posts, press releases, and other media-related projects. Warner plans to attend SUNY Polytechnic Institute, Utica this fall to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media Design.

Congratulations Sara and to the entire Herkimer College Class of 2023!
