This program prepares students for entry-level positions in public and private recreational facilities. The curriculum offers coursework in business, health, recreation and liberal arts. Graduates are prepared to:
- Own and operate a small business in a sports or recreational field
- Coach a variety of sports
- Plan and schedule recreational activities
- Implement recreational programs at treatment facilities
- Provide recreational and leisure services to the general public

If you enjoy sports and recreation, this program could lead to an exciting career at a resort, golf course, fitness center, sporting good store, campground or recreational department. You'll also be prepared to own and operate a small business in a sports or recreation field.

Career Opportunities

Graduates find employment at resorts, golf courses, fitness centers, sporting goods stores, campgrounds, parks, recreational departments and youth services.

Transfer Information

While not designed as a transfer program, students have continued their education at SUC at Brockport, SUC at Purchase, SUC at Cortland, Ithaca College and St. John’s University.
