Two Local Students Honored with SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student ExcellenceHerkimer County Community College students Brendan Murphy, of Whitesboro, NY, and Emma Vanderwerken, of Frankfort, NY, have been awarded the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence.
A senior Business Administration major, Murphy is an honors student, having been named to the Dean’s List, as well as the President’s List. He is very active on campus serving as president of Student Government Association, student representative on the Board of Trustees as well as a student ambassador and peer tutor. Murphy is also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. -
Patrick Russell Appointed to Herkimer College Board of TrusteesPatrick E Russell, of Old Forge, New York, has been appointed by the Herkimer County Legislature to the Herkimer County Community College Board of Trustees.

Robert H. Wood Great Artists Series Presents a Free Performance by Ensemble AubadeThe Robert H. Wood Great Artists Series will present the Ensemble Aubade on Friday, April 20 at 7 p.m. in Herkimer College’s Sarkus-Busch Theater. The performance is open to the public and free of charge.

SUNY Cobleskill to Hold Information Sessions for BBA completion program on Herkimer’s CampusSUNY Cobleskill will hold two information sessions at Herkimer College on Thursday, April 12 to provide an overview of the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree completion program available on the Herkimer College campus. Sessions will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Robert McLaughlin College Center, room 288 and from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Robert McLaughlin College Center, room 295.

New York State Sheriff’s Institute 2018 Criminal Justice ScholarshipHerkimer County Sheriff Chris Farber recently presented the New York State Sheriff’s Institute 2018 Criminal Justice Scholarship to Jenna Bullis of Unadilla, NY. Bullis is a December 2017 graduate of Herkimer College’s Criminal Justice: Forensic Investigations and is planning to attend the University of Southern Mississippi in the fall.
