Somow Region III Athlete of the Week

HERKIMER, NY – Herkimer Generals men’s soccer player Moulid Somow was selected as Region III Athlete of the Week in the sixth week of nominations, helping the Generals go 1-0 last week against the Mid State Athletic Conference.

Somow – a Liberal Arts & Sciences: Generals Studies major at Herkimer College - scored his first goal of the season in a 2-0 Saturday (10/3) win over SUNY Broome, collecting a goal and assist in his last two games. Somow - who resides from Utica, NY - has helped the Generals to a six-game win streak which is their longest of the season to date.

“Moulid is an unbelievably skillful midfielder,” said Head Men’s Soccer Coach Pepe Aragon. “His great speed and work rate make him perfect for our offense. We love what he brings to our team on game day!”
