HERKIMER, NY – Herkimer Generals women’s basketball player Khristaijah Jackson earned first team spots on both the All-Conference and All-Region Team, helping the Generals to their first sub-regional appearance in two seasons under the guidance of first-year Head Coach P.J. Anadio.

Jackson, a Business: Sports & Recreation Management major at Herkimer College, ranked Top 13 in six different categories as a center. The Philadelphia, PA native was fifth nationally in total defensive rebounds (214), eighth in points per game (20.7), 10th in rebounds per game (13.7), 11th in free throws made (109), 13th in total rebounds (315) and 13th in field goals made (184). In total, Jackson had 17 double doubles in 23 games played, scoring over 20 points seven times and over 30 points four times. The sophomore had a season-high 39 points against Tompkins Cortland in November and a season-high 23 rebounds against Schenectady in February at home, helping the team to an 8-4 record on their home court.

“Khristaijah is very deserving of these accolades as a player,” said Anadio. “Along with the sacrifice of her teammates, she has helped put Herkimer women’s basketball back on the map and in contention to do some big things down the road. She is not only a great basketball player, but a great student and person as well! Khristaijah comes from a great family and was raised the right way which translated to success on the court!”
