FORT PIERCE, FL – Building on their momentum from regionals, the Herkimer Generals swimming & diving program traveled to Indian River State College to compete in the 2016 national championship. When the four-day competition was over, both men and women placed ninth overall, and compiled 13 school records and 40 best times after 50 total events.

The men received College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) accolades in seven of their 12 events. Nicholas Herrlett (Rotterdam, NY) again led the way in diving, capturing third place in both one-meter and three-meter. The freshman totaled 335.45 in one-meter and 281.50 in three-meter, earning CSCAA All-American honors in the process.
