Vasquez receives scholarship to NAIA Bluefield College
Herkimer, NY – Herkimer Generals men’s soccer player Brian Vasquez signed a national letter of intent with Bluefield College to compete in the Appalachian Athletic Conference. The Rams qualified for their conference tournament and lost in the second round on penalty kicks last season.
As a forward in 2015, Vasquez recorded seven goals and two assists. His most important goal came in the Region II championship, scoring the game winner in the 28th minute to defeated Cayuga Community College. “Brian is a powerful striker with a great work ethic,” said Head Men’s Soccer Coach Pepe Aragon. “He scored some great goals in big games for us this past season. He will surely do great things at Bluefield. They’re excited he signed with them!”
