Herkimer Generals Women's Soccer falls to Finger Lakes
The Herkimer Women’s Soccer team traveled to Finger Lakes Community College yesterday (10/18) afternoon to face off against the Lakers in their last regular season game. The Herkimer Generals started off the game strong as the first goal of the game came from #13 Mikki Blumenstock (Poland, NY) assisted by #7 Jenna Rogers (Port Leyden, NY). The score remained locked at 1-0 Herkimer for the remainder of the first half. Finger Lakes returned from the half hungry and proved it as they scored one in the 52nd tying it up 1-1. The match continued back and forth tied at 1-1 until Finger Lakes found the back of the net in the 78th minute. Herkimer unfortunately was unable to tie it up and the game finished Finger Lakes up 2-1.
