Women's Cross Country Wins the Mountain Valley Conference Championship Race

Saturday morning proved to be the ultimate test for all cross country athletes in the Mountain Valley Conference championship race.  The weather did not provide any sympathy as the participants ran through forty degree weather, blustering winds and near freezing rain.  The weather didn't hold back all athletes as Herkimer Generals Chyanna Bernier (Ilion, NY) and Tiffany Amentler (Elmira, NY) locked down first and second place with impressive times considering the weather.  The Herkimer Generals Women placed first overall earning Coach Steve Sydoriw his first Conference Championship.
