Women's Soccer All-Conference & All-Region Honors
Herkimer, NY—Herkimer College women’s soccer midfielder Grace Johnson (Tully, NY) was named Mountain Valley Conference Player of the Year, and Acting Head Coach Jason Palkovic was named Coach of the Year. Herkimer players named to the Mountain Valley Conference 1st Team All-Conference included: Mikayla Blumenstock (Poland, NY), Danielle Charland (Chateaugay, NY), Grace Johnson (Tully, NY) and Jenna Bailey (Tully, NY).
Named to the NJCAA Region III Division III 1st Team All-Region were Blumenstock, Johnson and Hannah Taylor (St. Johnsville, NY).
“To have four 1st Team All-Conference & three 1st Team All-Region selections is a tremendous accomplishment,” Palkovic said. “For coaches in the Region to think that highly of our players and program really says a lot. I am happy for them all and it is well deserved.”
The Herkimer Generals women’s soccer finished the season 14-4 overall and in second place in the 2016 NJCAA Region III District A finals.
