Bernier's Second Honor as NJCAA Region III Player of the Week

Herkimer, NY-- Herkimer Generals freshman cross country runner Chyanna Bernier (Ilion, NY) has earned her second NJCAA Region III Athlete of the Week recognition. Bernier was awarded the honor in week 7 and has been recognized yet again in week 10. 

Bernier won the Mountain Valley Conference Championship and the Region III Championship, finishing first in both races and helping her team earn the program’s first ever regional championship.  She ran the regional 5K race in 20:31 at an impressive 6:37 pace.
