Herkimer, NY-- The Generals gave it their all against the Genesee Cougars Thursday night.  Herkimer came out very strong in the first two quarters running the ball well and driving to the hoop well.  #5 Diamonique Franklin (Queensbridge, NY) Started off the reign driving to the hoop and laying up 2 points for their first possession.  It set the tone for the entire first quarter and led to the Generals' 14 point streak. at the end of the first ten minutes Herkimer led 26-9 with every inch of momentum.  It continued throughout the second quarter, but Genesee started picking up steam.  At the half Herkimer held the lead 38-23.  Unfortunately for the Generals that lead wasn't enough as the Cougars returned from the locker room with a vengeance scoring 31 points in the third quarter.  This set in subtle panic for the Generals going into the last ten minutes and unfortunately they were unable to climb out of the hole.  Genesee defeated Herkimer 76-63.
