Herkimer, NY – Sophomore Eddie Speed (Chester, England) signed his Letter of Intent to play for NCAA Division I UMass Lowell.  The River Hawks finished last season with a 13-1-2 record and compete in the American East Conference.

Speed an NSCAA and NJCAA all-American last season had two goals and four assists as a defensive workhorse in the midfield and back.  He was part of a defense that recorded ten shutouts for the season.  “Eddie has an unbelievable work rate and was tremendous in both the midfield and back."  said Head Coach Pepe Aragon.  “He is an athletic and versatile player who we had to count on to play multiple positions for us throughout the season.  I am confident that Speedo will be very successful at the Division I level.  He has worked hard both on the field and in the classroom for this opportunity.  Our Herkimer Family is very proud of him.”
