Health and Fitness Classes Offered at Herkimer College

Herkimer College will be offering the following non-credit health and fitness classes beginning in June.

Yoga for All offers an introduction to pranayama (breathing technique), asanas (postures and poses), and savasana (meditative relaxation). A non-slip mat, blanket and pillow are recommended. Section A will meet for five sessions on Tuesday evenings from 6:15 to 7:30 pm beginning June 5. The fee is $45.

Pilates exercises strengthen and tone muscles along with providing flexibility and balance. Pilates was developed to create a healthy body, mind and life for all ages of individuals of all shapes and sizes. Section A will meet for three sessions on Mondays from 11:30 to 12:15 pm beginning June 11. The fee is $20. Section B will meet for four sessions on Wednesdays from 11:30 to 12:15 pm beginning June 6th. The fee is $26.
