1994 Herkimer College Men's Soccer Team inducted in NJCAA Hall of Fame

Colorado Springs, CO - The NJCAA recently announced the 2018 inductees to the NJCAA Men's Soccer Coaches Association Hall of Fame Class. For the first time, the group has enshrined full teams into the Hall of Fame. The 1994 Herkimer College Men's Soccer team was one of four teams now permanently enshrined in the Hall of Fame.

The Generals won the first ever NJCAA Division III Championship game in 1994, winning over Nassau by a score of 4-0. This was the first year that the NJCAA went to the two division system and instituted a Division III National Championship game. Herkimer went 25-0 that year and was led by Herkimer Athletic Hall of Fame member, Perry Nizzi. This was the first of three straight national titles for the Generals under Nizzi and started the Generals run of 10 Men's Division III National Championships to date.
