Generals Offense Explodes for 96 in Win Over HVCC

Herkimer NY- The Herkimer Generals women's basketball team was back in action Saturday 11/6 against the Hudson Valley Vikings. The Generals jumped out ahead leading the Vikings 57-19 at half. The Generals were led by sophomore guard Kapri Bradshaw(Uniondale, NY) who paced the Generals with 25 points.

Freshman Jenna Faulkner, Lynn Wright, Ajla Sedjic all turned in great performances for the Generals as well. Faulkner (Otego, NY) Scored 9 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks, Wright(Mohawk, NY) added her first double-double of the season adding 12 points and 10 rebounds. Sedjic (Utica, NY) hit 5, 3 pointers for the Generals finishing the night with 18 points.

Head Coach Matt Hazzard added, "we had a great week of practice, I was very excited to see the hard work translate into the game" and "we shot well, but the effort on defense and cleaning up the boards was our biggest takeaway as coaches."

The Generals move to 2-0 and will be on the road Tuesday to take on the Tompkins Cortland CC Panthers.
