Generals Advance to DIII Semifinals

Herkimer NY- The Herkimer Generals took on Sussex CC Skylanders of NJ in the DIII National Quarterfinals. The Generals were the first to score 2 minutes into the game, when Mitchell Bourdeau(Swanton, Vermont) scored from a Yamato Fujishima(Saitama City, Japan) assist. The Generals took a 1-0 lead through to the half. Within the first 2 minutes of the second half, the Skylanders Kymani Bird scored to tie the game up 1-1.

The Game stayed knotted through the end of regulation and into 2, 10 minute overtimes and went to penalty kicks. In the penalty kicks, the Generals received goals from Ikiel Collins- Brown (Monroe, NY), Nichlas Kamfjord (Sandres, Norway) and Manabu Takahashi (Osaka, Japan) to win the penalty kicks 3-2. The General will take on the #7 Bunker Hill CC Bulldogs Friday at 6:30 to advance to the National Championship.
