Herkimer NY- The Fulton Montgomery Raiders came out in the first half fire scoring 20 points in the first quarter. Late in the second quarter the Herkimer Generals regained momentum to go into the half up 34-27. The Raiders once again came out of the locker room  strong, sending several Generals starters to the bench with foul trouble to pull within one, at the end of the 3rd quarter. The Generals were able to hold on to the one point lead through the fourth quarter to pull out the hard fought win.

The Generals were led by shooting guards, Ajla Sedjic(Utica, NY) and Monica Hartlieb (Canajoharie, NY). Sedjic scored 17 points, had 4 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal on the night. Hartlieb scored 14 points while pulling down 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 blocks. Jenna Faulkner(Otego, NY) had 8 points on the night, while pulling 14 rebounds and had 3 blocks for the Generals. Faulkner's 3 blocks put her over 100 blocks on the season, 25 more blocks than the next closest student-athlete.

Head Coach Matt Hazard said, "It was an exciting game from the opening tip. We got down early, but our outside shooting kept us in it. We faced lots of adversity, overcoming foul trouble in the 3rd quarter, but Ajla and Monica really stepped up for us when it mattered."

The Generals move to 15-5 on the season and travel to Adirondack CC on Wednesday (2/9/21) to take on the Timberwolves.
