Herkimer College Appoints New Staff

Joseph J. Kelly, of New Hartford, has been appointed to the position of Faculty Student Association staff accountant. Kelly was previously employed with the Oneida County Comptroller’s office as an audit/payroll intern. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Albany.

Vito Valenzi '17, of Herkimer, has been appointed public relations assistant. Valenzi brings media and film production experience to the position. He most recently was a photo editor for Meyda Lighting, where he was responsible for product photography, editing and retouching images. He also has served as a videographer for St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish in Utica.

Valenzi holds an associate degree in Communication Arts – Digital Filmmaking from Herkimer College. While a student at Herkimer, he was a technical director for HCTV News and a disc jockey/on-air personality for the college radio station, WVHC 91.5 FM.
