Four swimmers named All-American by CSCAA

HERKIMER, NY – Herkimer College had four women’s swimmers named All-Americans by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Thursday. They were Erin Hutchison (Macedon, NY), Kristina Reynolds (Sherburne-Earlville, NY), Alexandra Whalen (New Hartford, NY) and Kaitlin Winnie (Accord, NY).

Collectively the group had 13 first place finishes and 69 Top Three finishes during the season. The distinction of All-American adds to their already impressive accolades where Reynolds earned All Regional honors in the 400 yd. Individual Medley and 200 yd. Butterfly, while Winnie got it in the 50 yd. Freestyle and Hutchison got it in the 1650 yd. Freestyle.

Each student-athlete participated in nationals for the Generals, where they accumulated 288 points, giving them ninth overall, their best placement under Head Coach Vicki Brown. Brown said, “I’m proud of my girls and feel they earned the recognition of All-American this season. They came into every meet prepared both mentally and physically.”
