HERKIMER, NY – On Thursday September 4th, Head Men’s Soccer Coach Pepe Aragon will get his first crack at winning his 300th game against Mid-State Athletic Conference opponent Onondaga Community College, hosting the Lazers at 7 p.m.

Aragon is in his 17th season at Herkimer and currently 299-27-14. Under his guidance the Generals have won seven national championships (1999, 2000, 2005, 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2013) and the last three in a row, totaling 10 as a program since its inception in 1976. It doesn’t stop there as Aragon has won the Region III Championship 17 years in a row, never finishing lower than fourth place in the NJCAA DIII national tournament.

Aragon is on a short list of Herkimer College coaches to have accomplished this feat. He surpassed previous Head Coach Perry Nizzi in wins (291-56-11) last year and he’ll look to do the same if his team wins another national championship in 2014. Both head coaches have won three consecutive championships during their tenure.
