HERKIMER, NY – In his first two games as a General, sophomore forward Ben Polk (Banbury, UK) accumulated three goals and two assists, helping Herkimer to a 2-0 record in their annual Coliseum Classic. It was also Polk’s first DIII Player of the Week nomination.

On Saturday (8/30), which saw the Generals win 4-0 over Bunker Hill Community College, Polk was more of a creator, assisting on goals to Moulid Somow (Utica, NY) and Jermaine Windster (Rotterdam, Holland). Polk’s presence was again felt the following day, scoring two goals against Bergen Community College in a 5-2 victory. Both goals helped the Generals cushion a lead by two goals against the Bulldogs.

“Ben’s been a tremendous part of our offense with his speed, strength and ability to finish!,” said Head Men’s Soccer Coach Pepe Aragon.

Herkimer’s next game is on Saturday, September 6th. They’ll travel to play Jamestown Community College. Game time is scheduled for 3 p.m.
