  • Three Herkimer College Students Awarded the SUNY Chancellor’s Scholar Athlete Award
    Three Herkimer College student-athletes received the 2019 SUNY Chancellor’s Scholar Athlete Award recognizing a combination of outstanding academic excellence and superior athletic achievement. They were among only 24 recipients from 30 SUNY community colleges to receive the award this year.

  • Mary Ann Carroll Granted Emeritus Status
    The Herkimer County Community College Board of Trustees has granted emeritus status to Mary Ann Carroll, effective September 1, 2019. Carroll is retiring in August as the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs for Assessment and Institutional Effectiveness after 32 years of service.
  • Herkimer Baseball Secures #4 Seed in 2019 NJCAA Division III World Series
    The Herkimer Generals baseball team has earned the #4 seed in the NJCAA Division III World Series that will take place from May 25th-May 30th at Pioneer Park in Greeneville, Tennessee. They will take on the defending national champions and 5th seeded Oakton Community College Owls at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
  • Herkimer’s Nick Visconti Qualifies for NJCAA National Championships
    Nick Visconti shot a two day total of 162 to finish 5th at the Region III Men’s Golf Championships at Timber Banks Golf Course in Baldwinsville, NY. The 5th place finish earned Visconti a spot at the 2019 NJCAA Men’s Golf National Championships, which will be held next month.
  • Two Herkimer College Professors Named 2019 SUNY Online Teaching Ambassadors
    Herkimer County Community College Professor of Chemistry George Smith and Assistant Professor of English Jason Brown have been named Open SUNY Online Teaching Ambassadors for 2019. They were recognized for this distinction at the Open SUNY Summit, an annual conference for online practitioners.
