Cathleen C McColgin

Herkimer College President Cathleen McColgin has been appointed to the Board of Regents for the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

The Board of Regents is the governing body of the NJCAA, developing by-laws, procedures, and policies for the organization. Its members are all volunteers, with a board chair, men’s senior administrator, women’s senior administration, six presidential representatives, and representatives from each of the 24 regions and six districts of the NJCAA.

President McColgin will serve as a presidential representative at-large. She was previously a member of the NJCAA’s Legal Review Committee.

“Having President McColgin elected to this position will be a benefit both to the NJCAA and Herkimer College,” said Don Dutcher, dean of students and director of athletics at Herkimer College. “She has a strong interest and passion in providing opportunities for student athletes.  She will be at the decision-making level to bring new insight and help lead the NJCAA into the next decade.”
