Herkimer College to host NJCAA Division III Men’s Basketball National Championship Tournament

Herkimer College will host the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III Men’s Basketball National Championship Tournament Wednesday, March 15 through Saturday, March 18. This is the first year Herkimer College will be hosting the national tournament.

Game one of the bracket will begin on Wednesday at 12 p.m. when Prince George’s Community College Owls take on the Mohawk Valley Community College Hawks. The semifinals will be held Friday at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., and the championship game will be Saturday at 5 p.m.

Tickets will be $5 per day (cash only), and children under 12 are free. All games will be broadcast on the NJCAA network located on the NJCAA website.

The NJCAA teams participating in the tournament this year include: Sandhills Community College Flyers, Prince George’s Community College Owls, Mohawk Valley Community College Hawks, Northampton Community College Spartans, Dutchess Community College Falcons, Northern Essex Community College Knights, Dallas-Northlake Community College Blazers, Brookdale Community College Jersey Blues, Butler County Community College Pioneer, Rochester Community College Yellowjackets, Fulton-Montgomery Community College Raiders, and the DuPage Community College Chaparrals.

The NJCAA is the second-largest national intercollegiate athletic organization in the United States, with participation from 500 schools in 44 states.
