Herkimer College inducts students into Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society chapter

Forty-one Herkimer College students were inducted as members into the Upsilon Epsilon Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) International Honor Society in a virtual ceremony held Wednesday evening, April 26.

To be eligible for PTK membership, students must have completed at least 12 hours of coursework toward an associate degree or at least six hours of coursework toward a certificate of one year and have a cumulative 3.5 grade point average.

The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa shall provide an opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for the exchange of ideas and ideals, for the lively fellowship of scholars, and for the stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence.
