Herkimer College to host General's Theater Group's production of A Krampus Carol

Herkimer College will be hosting General Theater Group's production of A Krampus Carol on Friday, Dec. 8, and Saturday, Dec. 9, at 6 p.m. in the Sarkus-Busch Theater, located in the College’s Robert McLaughlin College Center.

A Krampus Carol tells the story of Santa Claus’s oft-forgotten demon partner, Krampus, who is visited by the ghost of Jacob Marley, hoping to open his eyes to the error of his ways. To Marley’s dismay, however, Krampus loves his life. Even though his method of punishing kids who misbehave lost him the respect of his family, friends, and the elves who work for him; Krampus is at peace with his actions, and spying on the past, present, and future isn’t going to change his mind. Hilarious and irreverent, A Krampus Carol pits Dickens’s classic redemption tale against a stubborn holiday fiend who doesn’t think he needs to be saved.

A Krampus Carol is open to the public. Admission is $1, and pre-sale, reserved tickets are available at Herkimer.edu/Krampus. Reserved tickets will be held and paid for at the door. Tickets can also be purchased at the door without a reservation. Additional donations will be accepted. Refreshments and a small reception will also be provided at the end of each performance.
