Herkimer College Appoints Senior Advisement Center Specialist for Advancing Success in Associate Pathways Program

Herkimer College has appointed Brenda M. Carney, of Little Falls, NY, to the position of senior advisement center specialist for the Advancing Success in Associate Pathways (ASAP) program.

ASAP is a new initiative at Herkimer College offering structured pathways to help students gain and maintain academic progress toward a degree and create a connected community through comprehensive wraparound supports and engagement activities. ASAP supports include financial assistance, individualized advisement services, academic support, and career development activities.

Carney served as the research and assessment specialist in the Office of Institutional Research since January 2021. Carney has also been employed as an adjunct art and psychology instructor, art therapy specialist, adjunct instructor, and project coordinator throughout her career.

Carney holds a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies and is pursuing a master's degree in education.
