The 2025 edition of Phaethon, the College's literary and arts publication, was released in a special cover unveiling event on Monday, April 28. Dating as far back as the 70s, Phaethon showcases the work of students, faculty, and staff, including art, poetry, and works of fiction in this latest issue.

The title of Phaethon stems from Greek mythology and the story of Phaethon, son of Apollo, who, against his father’s advice, seized Apollo’s sun-chariot in a daring attempt to pull the sun across the sky. As Apollo is the only one who can do this, Phaethon was doomed to fail and lost control, burning the Earth. For this, Zeus strikes Phaethon down.

In the spirit of daring each year, Phaethon encourages submissions of art and prose that not only inspire, elicit thought and emotion, but also push limits and boundaries of expression.
