Herkimer College Welcomes Students for the Fall 2025 Semester
Herkimer College has begun the Fall 2025 semester with strong enrollment growth and an energized campus community. Students moved into College housing on Saturday, August 30, with classes officially beginning on Tuesday, September 2.

Science Club Visits New England AquariumThe Herkimer College Science Club visited the New England Aquarium in Boston, Massachusetts as part of their animal themed events for the year. The club also has some fundraising events scheduled for this semester and the spring semester to raise funds to adopt an animal symbolically at the Utica Zoo. American Red Cross Blood DriveHerkimer College is hosting an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Thursday, December 4 from 10:30 am – 3:30 pm. It will be held in Alumni Hall, room 217 of the McLaughlin College Center. The blood drive is being co-sponsored the Men’s Baseball Team.

Herkimer College Appoints Assistant Dean of Academic AffairsHerkimer College announces the appointment of Eric Vernold, Ed.D., Rome, NY to the position of Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs. Vernold will administer the College Now program, the concurrent enrollment program which provides high school students with the opportunity to earn both high school and college credit for college courses taken in their schools. Vernold will also supervise, schedule and support adjunct faculty.
