HERKIMER, NY – The Herkimer Generals women’s soccer program received more awards Thursday (12/10) afternoon when Teigha Ward and Grace Johnson were added to the 2015 NSCAA Junior College Women’s All-American Team.

Ward – a Liberal Arts & Sciences: Physical Educations major at Herkimer College – was one of three student-athletes to repeat as an NSCAA All-American member. Her second team selection in 2014 developed to a first team selection in 2015, ranking second in the nation in both goals (27) and points (69).

Johnson, a Liberal Arts & Sciences: Science major was selected to the NSCAA for the first time as a freshman, as a second team member - adding All-Conference, first team All-Region and second team NJCAA All-American honors for her work done on the field in 2015. The Tully, NY native had 10 goals and five assists in 15 games for the Generals this past year.

“We are extremely proud of both Teigha and Grace,” said Acting Head Women’s Soccer Coach Jason Palkovic. “Teigha had great two years with our program which culminated into two All-American selections, and we’re excited to have Grace back for another year since she was one of the key pieces to our success. Both student-athletes deserve this recognition!”
