Shirley Region III Female Athlete of the Week

HERKIMER, NY – Herkimer Generals Shannon Shirley won three individual Region 3 championships and helped the women’s track & field program to their sixth team championship at SUNY Delhi on Saturday. The freshman placed first in the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash and 4x100-meter relay - posting a 13.67, 27.74 and 55.77. Then Shirley accumulated three more second place finishes in the 400-meter hurdles (1:22.85), 4x400-meter relay (5:03.06) and 4x800-meter relay (14:16.18). Her overall effort got Shirley Region 3 Female Track Athlete of the Meet.
