Herkimer College to Offer Financial Aid Workshop

Herkimer College is offering assistance to any college-bound students and their families looking for guidance on applying for financial aid—even if they plan to attend a college other than Herkimer.

In two workshops, the College’s Financial Aid staff will assist students and families in completing the 2020-2021 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) applications for the institution of their choice. The workshops will also cover a brief overview of available financial aid programs, a summary of what's new in financial aid, and a guide on how financial aid is processed. Participants should bring the following to the workshop:

  • FSA ID for student or parent (if applicable) create this at https://fsaid.ed.gov/
  • 2018 Federal Tax Return
  • 2018 W-2’s
  • Bank Statements and Investment Account Statements
  • Driver’s License for both student and parents

The first workshop will take place at 9 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 19 in the Academic Support Center, located on the second floor of the Ronald F. Williams Library Building. The second workshop will be held in the same location at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6.

Registration is required due to limited seating. For more information, contact the Financial Aid Office at (315) 574-4035 or finaid@herkimer.edu.
