Herkimer College appoints new Electrician, William Blovat

Herkimer County Community College has appointed William H. Blovat, of Ilion, NY, to the position of electrician.

Blovat has more than 30 years of experience in residential, commercial and industrial maintenance and construction. He is skilled in the installation and maintenance of electrical wiring apparatus and equipment, and has significant experience as an industrial electrical technician, as well as in machining, welding, plumbing, and building maintenance.

Blovat was most recently employed by Mohawk Valley Health System as a facilities maintenance/electrical technician at the St. Elizabeth campus in Utica, NY. He also has been an industrial electrical technician for Remington Arms Company, a millwright/industrial electrician for Burrows Paper Corporation, and a plant industrial technician for H.M. Quackenbush Inc.
