Win streak snapped against No. 8 Cougars
BATAVIA, NY – Riding a seven-game win streak into Genesee Community College Saturday (10/18), the Herkimer Generals women’s soccer team was unable to beat their fifth nationally ranked opponent this season, losing to the Cougars 4-0.

In goal for the Generals was Sydney Stanley (Schoharie, NY). The freshman was out dueled by sophomore Megan Mase, saving six shots, but in the process allowing a season-high in goals to NJCAA DIII competition.
Herkimer will find out their Region III playoff seeding next week, with quarterfinals beginning on Saturday, October 25th. The higher seed will host the playoff game. The Generals could get a bye for quarterfinals, then host a semifinal game at Wehrum Stadium on Tuesday, October 28th.
