Minasi earns second team All-American in two events

HERKIMER, NY – For the second consecutive season Herkimer’s Track & Field athlete Jack Minasi (Newport, NY) made an impact at D’Alessandro Stadium, the host for the 2015 national meet, capturing two second team All-American nominations.

Minasi, a Business: Sports & Recreation Management major at Herkimer College, built on his 2014 national championship performance, adding the high jump and long jump to his repertoire with 6.87 meters and 1.98 meters reached in 2015 for each event, finishing second overall amongst 18 competitors in the long jump and 15 in the high jump.

“Jack has been a pleasure to coach these past two years,” said Head Track & Field Coach Sharon Howell. “He’s a very talented young man with a lot of potential. He will be missed by his peers and coaches!”
