Kaffo earns Green & Gold for September

HERKIMER, NY – Herkimer Generals men’s soccer player Femi Kaffo was named Green & Gold Male Athlete of the Month for September. Kaffo, a Liberal Arts & Sciences: General Studies major at Herkimer College, helped the Generals go 6-1 in their seven contests.

Kaffo accumulated five goals and six assists for the Generals in September, earning most of it in two games against Jamestown and Clinton where he had multiple offensive statistics. In the 10-0 win over the Jayhawks, Kaffo had two goals and three assists. Then four games later he tacked on two more goals and assists in a 12-0 victory over the Cougars. Include his game winning assist in double overtime at Tompkins-Cortland Community College to teammate Yuu Sasaki to reveal Kaffo’s importance to Herkimer’s success.

“Femi had a great month of September,” said Head Men’s Soccer Coach Pepe Aragon. “His tremendous work rate allows him to attack defense consistently, to the tune of five goals and six assists in seven games. It earned him Region III Athlete of the Week honors, which I couldn’t be more proud of!”
