Two goals in the second half propels Thunderducks
HERKIMER, NY – Netting two goals in the second half of Thursday’s (11/12) NJCAA DIII National Quarterfinal game at Wehrum Stadium, #2 Richland defeated #7 Montgomery 2-0 in regulation to advance to the semifinals.
Richland (14-3-1, 2-0) got goals in the 61st and 74th minute from Santiago Aguedelo and Eduardo Ruiz, taking assists to the back of the net past Montgomery’s goalie Juan Maraboli who finished 90 minutes of play with three saves. As for Hugo Ruiz, the goaltender for Richland, he had two saves on his way to the shutout.
