Herkimer Women fall to Undefeated Corning

Herkimer, NY--  The Herkimer Generals Women’s Basketball team hosted the undefeated Corning Red Barons this afternoon.  Herkimer played an inspiring first half as they pulled away with the lead from the start.  During the second quarter Herkimer even held a ten point lead to the Red Barons, but Corning began to close the gap.  At the half the Generals led the Red Barons 30-24.  Corning stole the game momentum in the third quarter and never gave it back as Herkimer fell to the undefeated Red Barons with a final score of 60-49.  The Generals now turn their focus to Finger Lakes Community College as they host the Lakers tomorrow (11/20) 12 p.m. in the Varsity Gym.
